Set follow-up intervals per medicine

The follow-up interval tells Ferbz when to send the next reminder. Getting this right determines whether reminders arrive at the right moment or too early / too late.

1

Understand what an interval means

If you set an interval of 28 days and the customer last bought medicine on June 1st, Ferbz will send a reminder on June 29th at 9:00 AM.

2

Set the interval when adding a medicine

In the customer record, each medicine has an Interval (days) field. Type the number directly or use the preset buttons: 7, 14, 28, 30, 60, 90.

3

Set a default interval per medicine in the catalog

Go to Settings → Medicine Catalog. Find or add the medicine and set a default interval. This applies automatically when that medicine is added to any customer — saving time for common drugs.

4

Override the interval for a specific customer

On the customer record, click the interval number next to a medicine to edit it. Some customers take a higher or lower dose than standard — their interval should reflect their actual buying pattern.

5

Adjust based on purchase history

If a customer consistently picks up medicine 5 days early or 5 days late, update the interval to match their real pattern. More accurate intervals = fewer wasted reminders.

PRO TIP

For customers with variable intervals (e.g. sometimes 28 days, sometimes 35 days), use the average. You can always send a manual reminder if needed.
